Dental Implant Restorations
Dental implants are the most effective and natural-looking tooth replacement option available. Replacing both the root and crown of one or more missing teeth, dental implants add stability and security to your smile. Dr. Kandl works with local oral surgeons and periodontists who surgically place the dental implant post into the jaw. Once fully healed, you will visit our office in-East
Stroudsburg again to receive the implant restoration, which could be a crown, bridge, or denture, depending on how many implants were placed. Dr. Kandl may recommend dental implants because they offer:
- Enhanced aesthetics
- Improved stability and durability
- A smile that looks and feels completely natural
Dental implants truly are one of the greatest advancements in modern dentistry. If you are missing any teeth, please call our office today to schedule your implant consultation with Dr. Kandl. We'd love to help you learn if dental implants are right for you.
Dentures and Specialty Dentures
When an individual is missing all or most of his or her missing teeth, Dr. Kandl will often recommend dentures. Dentures are removable appliances and help to restore function and beauty to your smile. We take the time to make custom dentures that fit your face and give you a natural appearance. We even provide implant-retained dentures for optimal stability.
- Dentures can be used to:
- Restore your ability to eat and speak normally
- Prevent the loss of facial volume
- Replace partial and complete tooth loss along an arch
- Give you a functional, beautiful, and complete smile
We invite you to contact our office today if you are missing any of your natural teeth. We'll be happy to let you know if implant-retained dentures or another tooth replacement option is right for you.
Initial Oral Exam
As a new adult patient at the office of Dr. Kandl, your initial oral examination will consist of a physical from the neck up. It includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal assessment, and an oral cancer screening. We will also be taking a full series of digital X-rays for proper diagnosis of decay. This initial oral examination typically takes about 90 minutes to complete, but once finished, we will have the information we need to help you achieve a healthier, more beautiful smile. To schedule your initial-oral-examination, please call our office today.
Scaling and Root Planing
Scaling and root planing are two deep cleaning procedures that our hygienists perform to treat gingivitis, the earliest stage of periodontal (gum) disease. Periodontal disease is caused by a buildup of plaque and calculus on the teeth and gums. One of our biggest goals is to help you avoid the risks associated with periodontal disease, which include:
- Tooth loss
- Bone loss
- High blood pressure
